³ “^[a]Like an ^[b](A)apple tree among the trees of the forest,
So is my beloved among the sons.
In his shade I had great desire and sat down,
And his ^(B)fruit was sweet to my ^[c]taste.
⁴ He has ^(C)brought me to his ^[d]house of banqueting,
And his ^(D)banner over me is love.
⁵ Sustain me with ^(E)raisin cakes,
Refresh me with ^[e](F)apples,
Because ^(G)I am lovesick.
